As Nettbil scaled, years of operational data accumulated, making it harder to extract holistic insights from ever-growing datasets. The existing database-level model limited consistent performance analysis across the business.
At the same time, Nettbil needed a unified set of dashboards that accurately reflected the reality of the business, not different versions of the truth depending on the team. They wanted a consistent view of key metrics and operational drivers, with aligned filters and definitions, so teams across departments could monitor performance, spot issues early and use data to optimize day-to-day operations.

OUR APPROACH
A Unified Warehouse,
A Single Source of Truth for Visualization
Uptimal partnered with Nettbil to centralize their growing operational data into AWS Redshift and implement a robust analytics engineering workflow with dbt. We established development and production environments, introduced GitHub-based version control and implemented CI/CD scheduling with alerting to ensure reliable daily updates.
On top of Redshift, we built a unified data model in dbt, moving calculation logic to the database layer and orchestrating jobs for parallel and sequential execution. Finally, we delivered a single Tableau-ready semantic layer, enabling consistent filtering across dashboards and empowering teams to self-serve insights across finance, operations and company-wide KPIs.
